Euclidean Norm

Definition

This is the most popular norm.

The Euclidean norm of vector $\vec a$ equals to:

(1)
\begin{align} ‖a‖ = \sqrt {\vec a\cdot\vec a} = \sqrt {a_1^2 + a_2^2 + ... + a_n^2} \end{align}

Geometric interpretation:
• The norm is the length of the vector.
